Things are not made to last forever. Even humans would not live forever. Thus, when the time comes that you will see your wood blinds being worn and tattered, you should not be shocked any longer. As long as you know that you have taken good care of them and that you have obtained value from using them over a certain period of time, you should be willing to find a replacement. You do not have to worry much about the budget for there are websites which sell discount blinds. You can even get a discount as big as fifty percent off.

Now that your financial distress over replacing your window blinds has already been solved, you should now go to the other concern which is how to replace your old wooden blinds. If you are the only one available at home and you do not want to bother calling for a carpenter who can remove the old blinds and install the new ones, you should read guides about the replacement process. Find a certain website where you will be guided well. Replacing the slats on the blinds would be quite easy for it can be done through the following steps:

1. Get the cord locks from the underside of the bottom rail.

2. Get the central lift cords out by letting them pass through the holes which are punched in the slats.

3. Remove the slats and replace the warped ones.

4. Put the lift cord down through the punch holes in all the slats and the bottom rail. Tie them to secure.

5. Fit the cord locks back.
